CornStrong roots and stalks improve standability, and with better standability comes higher yield potential.
Advantage of DEKALB® Genetics: Strong Roots, Stalks and Yields, Plus Better Drydown Lead to a Profit Potential Advantage.
More than 44,000 head-to-head comparisons showed that a competitor's leading products lodged nearly twice as much as leading DEKALB corn products.1

In 2006, more than 49,000 DEKALB and third-party in-field comparisons showed DEKALB corn products out-yielded competitive products by an average of 8.4 bushels per acre.2

These same comparisons showed DEKALB corn was on average 0.6% drier at harvest
than
competitive products. It can cost a farmer up to 5% of his variable input costs
to dry corn
from 20% to 15%. At a cost of $0.15 to $0.30 per bushel, drying your corn can
consume a lot of your profit. But with the DEKALB drydown advantage, you can
reduce your drying costs, which leaves more profit in your pocket.

Together, the yield and drydown advantages of DEKALB corn delivered an average of $28.21 per acre profit advantage in 2006.2
| Yield Advantage | $25.20/A |
|---|---|
| Drydown Advantage | + 3.01/A |
| Profit Advantage | $28.21/A |
