Facts about weed resistance and Roundup agricultural herbicides.

  1. Roundup agricultural herbicides have been on the market for 30 years and have been the most widely used herbicide in corn, soybeans and cotton for over eight years.

  2. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, has a unique mode of action and makes the chances of weed resistance to Roundup agricultural herbicide less likely than other chemistries.

  3. After nine years of commercial use in the United States, 12 weeds were resistant to the active ingredient in Pursuit® Herbicide, while only two weeds have been confirmed resistant to glyphosate in Roundup Ready cropping areas.

  4. If signs of resistance should occur, options are available to manage effectively and economically. Tank mixes have provided effective and economical control of resistant weeds.
